MKSS (Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan) an organization working against corruption n for the Right To Information since the 1990′s was the inspiration for this feature length documentary…; recently the Indian Government was forced to implement The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme…(one of the millions of schemes meant for the poorest of the poor… Right to Food, Right to Work… Right to Vote… all are in place… Yet large sections of land are legally being transfered as Special Economic Zone’s to corporations… and the landowners, be it farmers, tillers, sharecroppers, labor, small artisans, tribal, dalits, thrown out of their lands, livelihoods… those opposed to the same are silenced…. endless demonstrations, protests and petitions are to deaf ears…

Human nature is ridden with desire to acquire, appropriate… whatever the means… a little peep into the heart of corruption,

Jan Madhyam has documented the processes and the voices of those who are never asked, never heard n never counted as citizens… with more than 300 hours of video footage since 1995. This in depth investigative documentary hopes to see the light of day if adequate funds are made available.
